Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa announced Monday the sale of their Camp Neyati property, located 14 miles south of Council Bluffs. GSGI has owned the property since 1969, but has not used it since Oct. 1, 2010.
Camp Neyati is made up of 280 acres of natural bluffs and a man-made lake. Who purchased the property and what the land will be used for in the future has not been disclosed as this time.

The Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa announced Wednesday that the camp near Dayton has been sold to Steve Collen, of Webster County. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

''These are tough economic times,'' said Sally Frotscher, girl services director for the Fort Dodge office of Girl Scouts of Greater Iowa. ''Trying to maintain five camps is hard. We had to concentrate our resources where it would do the most good.''
