That process began in spring 2006, when, after relocating to another site on Black Creek, the Girl Scouts of the Gateway Council sold the 150-acre Camp Chowenwaw to the county for $4.4 million. The cost was shared by the Florida Communities Trust, using Florida Forever funds, and the county. |
